About the conference "To make it in Poland"

Some people, when speaking about integration of foreigners with the Polish society, in fact mean assimilation. This is not the same - Monika Wieczyńska, the member of the Management Board of OR writes about the conference “To make it in Poland”.
On December 16, 2009, in Warsaw, a conference entitled "To make it in Poland", organized by the Helsinki Human Rights Foundation and the Program of Legal Assistance for refugees and Migrants under the project "Migrants in Poland – information and legal assistance", co-financed by the European Fund for Integration of Third States’ Citizens and by the state budget. The conference was focused on the problems of integration of foreigners in Poland from the legal and sociological point of view.
Two panel discussions were held during the conference:
1. Assumptions of the new legal act on foreigners in the context of integration problems.
2. Challenges related to the integration of migrants in Poland.
