On November 23, 2016 the Extraordinary Meeting of Polish Ethnologists and Anthropologists entitled Anthropology against Discrimination was held in Poznań. One of the speakers was Professor Krzysztof Podemski representing Institute of Sociology of Adam Mickiewicz University and being a member of the Open Republic’s Management Board. He said: „I am concerned about the fact that Poland – once a multi-cultural country – is now one of the most homogenous countries. Vast majority of Poles has no multi-cultural experience. We should promote versatility. We speak about tolerance and anti-discrimination, and we should speak about affirmation of multi-cultural approach, we should make people realize that multi-culture is an enrichment of our society’s culture”.
