It is with the deepest regret and distaste that our membership has learnt about the fact that the conference of the National Radical Camp (ONR) has taken place in the Gdańsk Shipyard’s  historic BHP Hall .

The ONR cultivates the legacy of pre-war nationalism, using contempt for the others and hatred of anyone whom it sees as “foreign” as its weapon. Allowing the ONR to celebrate its anniversary at the same place where the historic August 1980 Agreement was signed is a disgrace and a defilement of the memory of creators of the Solidarity movement – people united in their concern for our country, who wanted Poland free of hatred.

Looking at what was happening at the Gdańsk Shipyard, we are asking ourselves – what is left of the ethos of the Solidarity movement? One thing is sure – one must not remain silent when organizations that should be banned, take over for their purposes one symbolic location after another.
